Hi everybody, my name is Rich Schwab, and I … make music.
In the sixties, when two friends and I formed our first beat band »a group«, we were sure our real names sounded much too German to suit the expected international career. So we became Larry Howard O’Lyan, Brian Chas O’Harvey and Richard B. Caurey. Caurey was me, then at the drums, the maraccas, and the microphone.
Last year, 54 years later, looking for a moniker to distinguish my instrumental works from my song project »Rich Choice«, I remembered that name. So here’s some tracks from what Caurey calls »music for unfilmed movies«, vol. 1.
Of course you can just listen to the music and hopefully enjoy it – but in case you happen to be a film maker, maybe you might consider whether any of it (or anything else I can do in my studio) could help create, support or change the atmosphere of your films …

Born in 1949, I wanted to be a musician since I was four;
1963: washboard player in a skiffle band;
1965: first drummer, then bass player in a beat band;
1970–1995: bass player in rock, jazz rock bands and blues bands.
And since 1988, when I discovered computers and the possibilities of DAWs, until today, I play keyboards.
I do what I love, and I love what I do.
